Community High School is holding a book sale and cookout at its new art space downtown (11 S. Jefferson Street) on October 6 from 5 – 8 PM. Food will be served from 6 to 7 PM with hamburgers, hotdogs, vegan options, chips, and drinks for $10.00.
Author and Virginia Tech English professor Matthew Vollmer will speak at 7:15 PM. Book prices will be $1.00 for hardbacks and $0.50 for paperbacks. All proceeds will benefit Community High School.
