The Roanoke Times’ seasonal lifestyle magazine SWVA Living features an article on a suite of live literary events happening around Roanoke. “A New Chapter” by freelance writer Christina Nifong in the Spring 2018 issue features the folks behind Hoot and Holler (a monthly The Moth-like storytelling event), Words3 (poetry and prose read by local writers), and Soul Sessions (a spoken word open mic).
Check out the magazine, including some swell photographs by Stephanie Klein-Davis, and then go check out the events lovingly curated by Cara Ellen Modisett, Lee Hunsaker, and Bryan Hancock. ★
Thanks for this post, Book City Roanoke! I loved getting to know all the writers and story tellers in our city as I reported it.
