★ GONE WITH THE BOOK historical novel book club to start

Kathy, a BOOK CITY resident, is interested in starting a book club for lovers of historical novels.  “I want to focus on novels that are realistic and perhaps based on actual historical events,” she says.

Here are some titles she says might fit that bill: The Irishman’s Daughter, The Long Flight Home, The Crossing of Cypress Creek, The Good Earth, and The Alice Network.

Tentatively called Gone with the Book, this club will meet on an evening during the heart of the week. It will be casual and friendly, and depending on how the group wants to run it, might meet over dinner or a glass of wine.
