Your Heart is a Muscle the Size of a Fist (Back Bay Books, 2016) has been selected as the 2018 Roanoke Valley Read. Author Sunil Yapa will visit Roanoke October 4-6 to read from and discuss the book at Hollins University. He will also participate in Cityworks X(po), presenting a talk on “Radical Empathy.”
Community partners are invited to set up related events throughout the month of October around the topics such as
- empathy
- the individual’s voice in democracy, and
- effecting change in your community.
