Saturday, March 16: Lit Fest at Hollins.
The 59th Annual Lex Allen Literary Festival is a day of poetry, fiction and memoir. There are readings in a space that respects writers and their work. There are times for refreshments and lunch, a reception and book signings–time to connect with authors and other readers over the work you’ve just heard.
This year’s authors are the 2019 Louis D. Rubin Writer-in-Residence Pam Durban (10:30 AM), the author of two short story collections and three novels; Poet Rebecca Morgan Frank (2 PM), the author of three poetry collections and one more in progress; and memoirist and fiction writer Paul Lisicky (4 PM).
The event takes place in the Niederer Auditorium of the Wetherill Visual Arts Center on the Hollins Campus. Funding for the event is provided by the John Alexander and Mary Josephine Haynes Allen Literary Endowment, the Dee Hull Everist Visiting Speaker Series, and the Louis D. Rubin Writer in Residence Fund. Get all the important information here. ★
