Saturday is Independent Book Store Day, and lucky for us, there’s an independent book store in Roanoke. Book No Further will mark the day with books and authors and a little community building around the written word—in other words, business as usual.
What’s extra special about this day? Cupcakes. Coupons. Giveaways. A free book with $50 in spending. It’s a good day to buy books as well as visit with Emily Dickinson as portrayed by actress Sybil Rosen.
Bookseller Doloris Vest will have the doors open down on the market from 10 AM to 5 PM. Heath Lee will be there at 1 PM, reading and discussing her book League of Wives, which, by the way, would make a great gift for Mother’s Day.
