Season two of the BOOK CITY ★ Roanoke continues with Roanoke City Council Member Bill Bestpitch.

bestpitchBestpitch offers reflections on his reading life, Roanoke’s progress, and the exchange of perspectives over shared reading.
Transformation, the theme of this season’s episodes involves communities as well as individuals. “Everyone wants progress,” says Bestpitch, “but nobody wants change.” Transparency, he says, helps a community manage change.
Bestpitch entered public life through his active participation in the Old Southwest neighborhood. He’s involved in a variety of civic groups and book clubs. He’s is his fourth term as a council member.
