2020 marks the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment, and August has been named National Women’s Suffrage month.
To celebrate, Roanoke County Library Director Shari Henry interviewed several women leaders in the region, many of whom will be joining an online conversation at 6:30pm on Tuesday, August 25.
The women will discuss what voting means to them, talk about the female role models that helped shape their lives, offer words of wisdom to young women, and more. The evening promises to be informative and inspirational.
